specialized expertise in the fields of urology and psychosexual medicine.

This programme supports patients to develop mindfulness skills and self-compassion for emotional and psychological challenges linked to urological symptoms.

Our team consists of highly skilled and experienced healthcare professionals and expert urologists, who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for our patients.

Urinary difficulties are common urological concerns that many individuals face. These include bladder issues, prostate problems, and urinary tract infections. Conditions such as urinary incontinence and urethral disorders can significantly impact daily life.
For men, issues related to male genitalia, including vasectomy and vasectomy reversal, penile issues, and testicular and scrotal complaints, are also prevalent. Erectile dysfunction and other forms of sexual dysfunction are important topics addressed by expert urology care.
Additionally, kidney diseases, pelvic pain, and genital pain may require the specialized attention of a urologist. It's also essential to recognize that psychosexual dysfunction can affect both males and females, often necessitating medicolegal services for appropriate guidance.

This service is a pioneering Compassion and Mindfulness-Based programme embedded within urology care, supporting patients to develop mindfulness skills and self-compassion for emotional and psychological challenges linked to urological symptoms. Many patients present with physical complaints such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, or chronic pain; where no clear physiological cause exists, yet the distress profoundly impacts their wellbeing. Others have histories of trauma, including sexual abuse, which exacerbates urological symptoms through stress-related brain-body pathways.
Mindfulness, the practice of cultivating present-moment awareness without judgment, and compassion-based approaches, fostering kindness towards oneself, help patients disengage from negative thought patterns and reduce psychological distress. Meditation exercises taught in the program actively calm the nervous system, lowering stress responses and supporting emotional regulation. An assessment is completed with referrals to ensure the programme is appropriate.
This clinic is, to our knowledge, the only dedicated service worldwide integrating mindfulness and compassion for patients in urology. The service is led by Professor Helen Noble, a registered Mindfulness, Compassion, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher and member of the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA), alongside Anna Wilson, Marketing, Technology and Logistics Consultant at Urologik and PhD student, who has collaborated on mindfulness research with Professor Noble for 10 years. Together, they bridge psychological and physical healthcare, providing targeted, evidence-informed mental health support rarely available in this clinical context.
